Tools for Communication SUCCESS Spring 2017

This session will focus on 7 different ways of connecting with and communicating research to audiences, particularly outside of your field. In this session, we will see examples of those 7 communication tools and participants will create and receive feedback on their own work using these tools.

This workshop will take place from 1:30-3:30 pm in Nau Hall, room 342. Seating is very limited and we ask that you only register for the workshop if you will attend, and cancel at least 48 hours in advance if you are unable to attend a workshop that you have registered for.

Communication workshops will provide hands-on training for graduate students to learn the principles of communication and presentation, and to gain practice in using these critical skills. Workshops will include both instruction as well as time to practice and receive feedback. Participants will be encouraged to adapt the exercises to their intended audience (whatever that may be); however, emphasis will be given during instruction and practice to communicating to audiences outside of a participant's field.
